In my English 101 class, we were tasked with either rewriting a fairy tale or coming up with a new one ourselves. While some of my peers made up completely new stories, I chose to rewrite the story of Rapunzel, with the addition of a few illustrations.

I originally started the sketch for this one as a mock up for the final product I would do eventually, to try and get a clear direction for how I wanted this to go, but I ended up liking how the sketch was going so much so that I used it in my finished product.

I drew inspiration from the Barbie Rapunzel movie, especially with the color palette, as it was one of my favorites growing up. My teacher absolutely loved it and said that it fit the vibe of my story very well.
