I was commissioned to draw a profile picture for a friend of mine. He is a minecraft player and had designed his skin himself, so he wanted it drawn out in my style to use across various platforms.

The whole process up until the end was on Procreate, with a switch to Apple photos to mess around with the saturation after the fact. Given the fact that his Minecraft skin was very cartoonish, I had to figure out how to translate the face given into my style, with the original quite literally being this:  “:P”.

Thankfully, I finally ended up with a style I liked. My client was very happy with the result and still uses the picture across multiple apps to this day.
